JustFeedMe is an app that links takeaways cafes and restaurants with clients enthusiastic to buy unsold nourishment at a lower cost. For clients, the app is the straightforward way to eat well, spare cash and secure the planet. Food waste
Every year 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted globally. In Ireland every year there is 1 million tonnes
of food waste. This is not good environmentally nor is it economically in Ireland food waste alone is
costing us 1 billion euros a year.
JustFeedMe team believes today food waste is one of the most important issues society is facing
nowadays but nothing in particular has been done by governments. Therefore, we decide to build a
product in order to influence people and create the next zero food waste generation.
A win-win solution!
JustFeedMe aims to solve the problem of food waste by building an app that connects both the
customer and business. This will allow the purchase of food that was either not sold or was going to
expire.
By implementing this we also solve problems for the business such as how can a business become
more sustainable and add additional income streams to its existing business model. To add to this
businesses using JustFeedMe will also add additional customers.
THE TEAM
JustFeedMe was founded by three young students during their ultimate year of commerce at the University College of Dublin. The team is very multicultural, we all come from different nationality but we all have the same desire to tackle the food waste issue and achieve a better society,
